Bobby Mackey's Music World (Hell's Gate)
The Murder of Pearl Bryan
Bobby Mackey's Music World, once a slaughter house located in Wilder, Kentucky is considered one of the most haunted locations in the state because of its brutal past; the murder of Pearl Bryan in 1890, and the suicide of a young dancer and daughter of a 1930's club owner. It's still famous today because of the legends and many ghost sightings and strange occurrences.
In 1889, a young girl named Pearl Bryan fell in love with a dental student named Scott Jackson. Jackson, along with his friend and roommate, Alonzo Walling, were thought to be a part of a regions devil warship group that held their meetings in the old slaughter house. In the slaughter house, the blood of animals would drain down into a well that washed out into the Ohio River. They also were thought to sacrifice women as well.
But within time, Pearl became pregnant with Jackson's child, which became a problem for they weren't married. Jackson despised the thought of becoming a father, and wanted to get rid of the child Pearl was carrying. Walling suggested an abortion Pearl, which he'd later regret. When they came to agree on the Idea, Pearl was already five months pregnant. The men asked Pearl if she'd agree with them to abort child, and Pearl agreed. In those days, an unwedded mother was an outcast in society. So in Mach of 1857, the three made their way to Wilder, and started the abortion with dental tools.
After hours of pain, and bloody screams, Pearl was still with child. Tired of Pearl's screaming, the men took the bleeding girl, held Pearl down, and decapitated her, killing her and the child. Pearl was alive when her head was removed and was silenced at spot. They dumped her body at sight, and went off, two miles down, to the slaughter house. People say that Pearl's head was used as a sacrifice to the devil by Scott Jackson and Alonzo Walling.
Months after her murder, police started asking Jackson and Walling on Pearl's murder. Afraid of what will come they both blamed each other on it, saying that it was the other who killed her. The men were arrested and sent to their hanging right away, in 1858. Before hanging, Scott Jackson said out loud "We will forever haunt the slaughter house". Now, some people have reported seeing a headless woman, walking around the old slaughter house. Others have seen a man with a handle bar mustache, named Scott Jackson, and another man, named Alonzo Walling.

After 1899, the area was closed until 1930, when an old man and his lovely daughter bought the building and turned it into a gambling club. Men came all around, laying their money down, and the area became popular. The daughter's name was Johanna, and she was also a dancer at the old club. For a few years, Johanna and her father ran the best gambling place in Kentucky, however, their lives started to slip in a romance.
Robert Randle worked at the club as a singer, and sweeping Johanna off her feet, the two became lovers. Johanna's father did not approve at their love, for Randle always played a bad hand. Johanna didn't seem to care; it was true love to her.
In 1933, Johanna became pregnant with Randle's child, like Pearl Bryan, whose head was still in the down stairs slaughter house, she was unmarried to her lover. Soon Johanna's father found out about their secret, and had Robert Randle killed; Johanna was five months pregnant when she heard what happened to her lover.
At the top of the stage, sits a secret area, where Johanna would disappear to. There, she spent her time, crying her for love, damning her father's hate, unbarring the pain. One night, when the club was closed, Johanna's father still had some of his friends over for a quick drink. Serving the drinks, Johanna placed poison in her father's whisky. Without knowing, her father drank it, and right away he fell to the ground. The other men ran to get help, leaving Johanna and her gasping for air father alone. Johanna walked to her dressing room down stairs in the basement, and there she drank her own cup of poison, killing her and her unborn child. In her upstairs crawl space, above the stage, sits a love poem Johanna wrote herself, before her death.
After her death, Johanna's father lived through his drink, and closed the club, for good.

Wasn't till 1978, a man named Robert Randle Mackey, also known as Bobby Mackey, opened the building as a night country club. Mackey had no idea what had happened in the area, and wasn't till 2010 when he started believing in the spirits and demons around his club.
In 1979, Jennet Mackey, Bobby's wife, was in the upstairs apartment, where the grounds keeper, Carl lived. She felt a strong push on her body, sending her down stairs. She was five months pregnant at the time. The next morning, she had her daughter, three months pre-mature.
New days after the birth, Bobby and his friends were in the basement, when they founded the oldest part of the building. The well was ripped to show what looked like a piece of a human skull. Digging for other pieces, they only found that once peace. Could it be Pearl's head?
In 1980s, Carl became posseted by one of the demons in the area. It took a 17 minute video to remove the spirit from him. The sights of a headless woman, a crying girl, and demons have been seen all over Bobby Mackey's music world, but one mystery has gotten everyone thinking.
The day Bobby Mackey was born; his mother changed his name to Robert Randal Mackey. Johanna's lover's name was Robert Randle. Jennet Mackey believes that Johanna thinks her lover was reborn as Bobby Mackey, and wants her out of the picture. She believes it was Johanna, who threw her down the stairs when she was five months pregnant, wanting her lover back.
